Okonomiyaki Cooking Class with Nahoko and Mac
Maction Planet is proud to announce a Special Okonomiyaki Cooking Class featuring Mac, Founder and Lead Guide of Maction Planet, and Nahoko from At Home with Nahoko Cooking Classes
Nahoko started Japanese cooking classes for foreign travellers to Tokyo three years ago, and since then has taught 250 students from all over the world.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she has recently switched to hosting online classes via Zoom which have proven to be extremely popular.On Sunday 12 July, Nahoko will hold a very special online Okonomiyaki cooking class featuring Mac from Maction Planet.
Two sessions will be held: 08:00 JST and at 18:00 JST to cater to your time zone.

Nahoko will teach you how to make not only delicious Okonomiyaki but also Okonomiyaki sauce and red pickled ginger, using ingredients you can get easily in your country.
Mac will talk about Japanese food culture and share many stories about the history of and life in Japan, bringing his expertise on Japanese culture, history, food and drink, baseball, sumo, music… As Nahoko says, “Even I am constantly learning from him and I am from Japan”
Mac will join Nahoko in her kitchen in Kunitachi, Tokyo for an interactive class. They will both be wearing face shields.
This is an interactive class, different from anything on Instagram Live or YouTube. You will be able to converse with Mac and Nahoko DURING THE CLASS. You can ask us questions about Japan and your cooking during the class. All of the participants can show each other their Okonomiyaki. We will all be saying ‘itadakimasu‘ and eating our Okonomiyaki at the same time.
The class will last around 2.5 hours, is limited to 50 groups per session and can be booked on Airkitchen for ¥3,490 per group.

Okonomiyaki is a fantastic, democratic food – you do not need special ingredients or tools. You can make Okonomiyaki using ingredients commonly found in your refrigerator. You can even use leftovers to mix into your Okonomiyaki!
